Two more participants have joined Elektra’s Annual Fundraising Challenge! 🎉

Please welcome Elisabeth Finch and Deirdre Rogers to the team.

Elisabeth is taking on a 700m trail climb from Roberts Creek Pier through forest and mountain terrain on the Sunshine Coast, while Deirdre will be completing a 5km run at Deer Lake Park on June 20.

Together, our fundraising team now includes 14 participants taking on 13 different challenges in support of Elektra.

Every dollar raised helps Elektra bring you the soaring performances you love, commission new works, and collaborate with outstanding artists.

Meet the team behind Elektra’s 2026 Annual Fundraising Challenge!

Twelve participants are taking on eleven different challenges in support of Elektra – from swimming and cycling to running, hiking, and tackling the Grouse Grind.

Every dollar raised helps Elektra commission new music, support Canadian composers, collaborate with outstanding artists, and share exceptional choral music with our community.

Over the coming days, we’ll be introducing each participant and the challenge they’ve chosen to take on.

What a wonderful evening at Choral Encounters this week!

This week, we welcomed a capacity audience to Pacific Spirit United Church for a celebration of young voices, encouragement, and choral community — featuring the Lord Byng Chamber Choir, conducted by Lisa Lan, and Little Flower Academy Chamber Choir, conducted by Marizza Mislang.

Featured in these clips:
• Lord Byng Chamber Choir: A Puppet’s Dream by Darius Lim
• Little Flower Academy Chamber Choir: Kaleidoscope Heart by Sara Bareilles, arr. Allison Girvan
• Combined choirs: O Sister by Kathleen Allan

Thank you to the students, conductors, teachers, families, and audience members who made this gathering so memorable. Choral Encounters returns as part of Elektra’s 40th Anniversary Ruby Season.

What a joy to gather with friends and colleagues from Peninsula Women's Chorus, La Caccina, and The Aeolian Singers here in Vancouver for a weekend of music, collaboration, and shared song.

Tonight, all four adult treble choirs come together at downtown Vancouver's Christ Church Cathedral for the festival finale.

🎟️ Limited tickets remain for tonight’s 7pm concert:
