Let’s start with the basics 📸

🗓️ October 1 – November 5
⏰ 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
📍 401 Richmond Street W Studio 380

This 6-week photography program is designed for beginners led by iAM Alum and Mentor who will guide you on how photography opens up new ways to create, document, and see the world.

Each session is hands-on from the start, using Sony mirrorless cameras and natural light to explore the exposure triangle—ISO, shutter speed, and aperture—the core controls that shape how your images look and feel. The goal isn’t the perfect shot, but understanding what you’re doing and why.

🌟 YOU HAVE 4 WEEKS TO SUBMIT 🌟

That film sitting on your hard drive
That artwork hiding in your studio
That project making you say “I should probably do something with this”

This is your sign to get moving before the clock stresses you out 😵‍💫 The JAYU Festival of the Arts (JFA) Call for Submissions closes Friday, October 2 at 11:59 PM EST.

What if we took the pressure off of first drafts to be the final poem?

What if instead we saw them as the beginning of a really lovely conversation?

🗓️ September 23 – November 4
⏰ 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
📍 Online via Zoom

In this online workshop hosted on Zoom led by Alexia Cousineau, we’ll use writing, and especially editing, as tools for our development. We’ll look for ideas, questions, and directions that might be hiding in that first write, develop them into theories, and play around with form, structure, and literary devices to see what can help the poem do what we want it to do.

Come curious, come messy, and come ready to revise.
