The Jean Tweed Centre is a safe and supportive setting that offers a wide range of services for women experiencing problems related to substance use, mental health and/or gambling. Recognizing the diversity if women’s experience in today’s society, our programs seek to address a range of issues in a woman’s life that may contribute to substance use and gambling problems. Understanding each woman’s experience within the broader physical, emotional, social, cultural and gender framework we provide a client centred approach to health recovery.

On Friday, members of the Ontario Women’s Coalition came together in Ottawa for an opportunity to connect, collaborate and strengthen our collective work in support of women and families across Ontario.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to gather with sector partners, share perspectives and continue building stronger connections across our communities.

Recovery can inspire recovery. 💜

The Jean Tweed Centre is excited to introduce our Healing in Partnership with Peers – Leadership Program, designed for individuals with lived and/or living experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges who are interested in using their experiences to support others.

Peer leadership participants will have the opportunity to build peer support knowledge and skills, gain practical experience, receive training and mentorship, and continue their own journey of recovery, healing and personal growth — all while preparing for future peer support opportunities.

Our Giving Hope Gala was a sold-out celebration of hope, community, generosity, and impact in support of The Jean Tweed Centre.

From inspiring stories and meaningful moments to dinner, entertainment, our silent auction, raffle, and so much more, the evening was truly one to remember.
