Andrew’s presents musical events across a range of genres throughout the year. Each fall and winter-spring, we offer free, weekly Friday Noontime Recitals. Performers include University of Toronto music students, rising stars in the classical music world and veteran performers. Many recitals feature our magnificent Bösendorfer Imperial grand piano. We celebrate Mardi Gras each winter with a joyful
evening of music led by performers such as jazz trumpeter Patrick Tevlin and roots-music icon Ken Whiteley. Each December we present a candlelit evening of seasonal music and dramatic readings from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. We’ve welcomed readers such as opera star Marion Newman, CBC Radio's Michael Enright and renowned Canadian tenor Ben Heppner. Andrew’s programs such as Out of the Cold. Andrew also marked key wartime anniversaries in a musical trilogy exploring the impact of the First and Second World Wars on Canadians. The most recent of these was 2018’s For King and Country, which premiered a song cycle by Canadian music legend Tony Quarrington. We look forward to offering more great music in future. We hope that our church's wonderful Bösendorfer piano, superb acoustics and warm, welcoming atmosphere make for a great concert experience for both audiences and performers.
