Fudai has been with me for two weeks now, and during this time, I’ve had the chance to learn much more about her personality.

She is a very sweet and lively little girl full of energy. Although her tiny body is only about 20 lbs, she seems to have no intention of slowing down for even a moment. When she is not playing and wrestling with the other small dogs, she enjoys playing with toys by herself. Her favourite is a ball — she can happily entertain herself with it for a long time. She is affectionate, wants to be around her human.

Fudai loves treats and is very food-driven, which makes her easier to train. At 8 months old, she is smart and at a wonderful age to learn, build good habits, and grow with her future family.

Her potty habits are also very good. Although she was previously trained in her foster home to use an indoor dog toilet, she quickly adjusted to going potty outdoors during her walks and outdoor time. As long as she is taken outside on a regular schedule, she should no longer need p*e pads.

Fudai would do best with a loving, active family that enjoys outdoor activities and can provide her with patience, structure, plenty of playtime, proper care, and continued training as she grows.

She is still a young puppy, full of curiosity and energy, and she deserves a family who will guide her with kindness, patience, and commitment.

Gold was rescued from a dog meat truck.
His life could have ended before it truly had a chance to begin.

But Gold was saved.

Meet Irving, a sweet little white poodle boy with the cutest face and a heart full of love.
At around 1 year old and 4.55 kg, Irving is a small, adorable companion who is ready to begin his new life with a family of his own.
Irving was rescued from a crowded dog pound, where he had little chance of survival. We may not know every detail of his past, but from his lovely manners and good potty habits, it seems likely that he once had some home training. So far, his potty routine has been very good, and he has been adjusting well to home life.

Despite the changes he has been through, Irving is a friendly and affectionate little boy. He enjoys being around people, loves cuddles, does well with children, and is friendly with other dogs. He is also not food or toy aggressive.

Irving walks well on leash and has shown himself to be a sweet, social, and charming little companion.

Irving has been seen by a veterinarian, and a small hernia was found on his belly. He will need a minor surgery to repair it.

Some of you may remember Fudai’s story.

In October 2025, Fudai was first seen at one of our rescue partners in Shanghai — an animal sanctuary founded within Wanfo Pavilion, a thousand-year-old Buddhist nunnery.

At that time, she was just a tiny puppy.
A life that had almost been lost.
A little soul who had already survived more than any puppy ever should.

When Fudai was found, she was fragile, injured, and in desperate need of help. But she was saved, cared for, and given a name full of blessing.

Her name, Fudai, means blessing.

And today, that blessing has arrived in Canada.
🤍 Fudai is safe. Fudai is here. And now she is ready for her forever home.

After months of care, healing, and preparation, Fudai has made the long journey to Canada to begin the next chapter of her life.

Despite everything she went through as a tiny puppy, Fudai has grown into a sweet, affectionate, active, and loving little girl. She is still young, still learning, and still discovering the world around her — but she carries such a soft and beautiful spirit.

Like many rescue dogs, she may need a little time to settle into a new home. But with patience, kindness, and consistency, we believe she will blossom into a wonderful companion.

I first met Fudai in October 2025, when I traveled to Shanghai to visit one of our rescue partners — an animal sanctuary founded within Wanfo Pavilion, a thousand-year-old Buddhist nunnery.

With a history that stretches back centuries, Wanfo Pavilion has long been a quiet spiritual place. Today, beyond its ancient walls, it has also become a sanctuary for animals in need — offering care, shelter, and compassion to those who have nowhere else to go.

That day, I met the abbess, Venerable Shi Xingkang.
By chance, I saw a tiny puppy she had just rescued.
She was only slightly bigger than the palm of a hand.
Her eyes were barely open.

We later learned that her littermates had been thrown into a trash bin.
When the nunnery received word, the abbess immediately asked volunteers to rush to the scene. Several puppies were pulled out.
They were about to leave.

And then—
They heard something.
A faint, desperate whimper… from the grass nearby.

There was another puppy.
She was injured.
Her tiny shoulder covered in blood.
On her shoulder were five deep, evenly spaced puncture wounds — clearly inflicted by a sharp object with five prongs.
It was a hot day.
The wounds had already become infested with maggots.

Holding that fragile little life in her hands, it was impossible not to feel shaken.
That in this world, there could be such cruelty—
that even a creature so small, so helpless, could be hurt in such a way.

And yet—
She was found.
She was saved.
________________________________________
The abbess named her Fudai.
A name of blessing.
A life that escaped death.
A wish that from that moment on, her days would be filled with kindness, protection, and love.

I remember quietly saying to the abbess—
When she is old enough to travel, I will come back for her.
I will bring her to Canada.
And I will make sure she finds a home where she will be truly, deeply loved.

I’m here, after 7 months.

🌿 Sage is a female Terrier mix with a beautiful golden-brown coat and the sweetest eyes. She stands about 32 cm tall and 38 cm long, weighs 15 Lbs — the perfect medium-small size for both cuddles and adventures.

She was found abandoned at the rescue base. Perhaps due to her past experience of being abandoned, she is very attached to her human and lacks a sense of security. She seems to worry that once her person leaves, they may not come back., Sage is a calm, affectionate sweet girl who truly loves people.

Sage is incredibly people-oriented and forms strong bonds with her person. She is:

• Loyal and deeply connected once she feels safe
Her first adoptive family found she might not suitable for some young kids.
She is a dog who loves deeply and values connection.

⚠️ 𝗔 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘

The previous adoptive family recognized that Sage is very calm, gentle, and incredibly sweet when she has her person with her. She loves cuddling and snuggling.

However, she does need training to help her feel comfortable being left alone. When her person leaves, she may become scared, whimper, or even bark, but it is not endless barking. She has never been destructive in the home, and her anxiety mainly shows as whimpering or barking when left alone.

We believe that once she realizes her person will not abandon her and she gains a sense of security, this separation anxiety can be fully overcome.

At this time, we feel Sage would be best suited for a loving home with someone who is retired or works from home — someone who has the time to be with her and the patience to gradually help her feel safe and secure.

🏡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛

Sage would do best in a home that:
• Has some dog experience
• Can provide a calm, stable environment

Beibei is once again looking for her forever home.
Her recent foster-to-adopt trial was with a very kind, patient, and committed family who gave her time, care, and even participated in professional training to better support her. We are deeply grateful for the love and effort they put into helping Beibei.

Through this experience, we were able to learn more about Beibei’s needs and what kind of environment helps her feel most secure.

Beibei seems to do best in a quieter, adult-focused home — ideally with a single person or a couple. She was able to be around respectful older children, but she appeared more relaxed and comfortable in calmer settings without younger children or busy household energy.
She has shown many wonderful qualities in the right environment. Beibei is crate trained, enjoys cats, and may do well with another calm, compatible dog. She got along well with her foster family’s cats and also seemed comfortable with other dogs she met.
Beibei is about 90% of the way there with outdoor potty training. Like many rescue dogs adjusting to a new routine, she will benefit from patience, consistency, and gentle guidance as she continues to learn.

Beibei is not a dog who needs a busy home or constant excitement.
She needs calm.
She needs predictability.

🤍 🤍 Beibei is waiting for a calm, loving home with small-dog experience — a family who is willing to continue her training journey, with ongoing support from our rescue and trainer, so she can keep building confidence, structure, and trust.

Beibei, an adorable little girl about 1.5 years old.
She weighs only about 10 lb, with a height of around 10 inches and a body length of about 12 inches — is a lovely small companion dog, and her size may allow her to travel in the cabin on many flights.

Ash has now been officially adopted! We are so happy that this sweet little dog, who always tries to please others with his gentle nature, has finally escaped the nightmare he once lived through and can begin a new life. He truly deserves the very best! Today, he came to White Rock Pier and saw the ocean for the very first time.

Ash was found abandoned on the street when he was around two years old. Despite his difficult past, he has remained incredibly trusting, loving, and gentle with people. Now he’s ready for a stable and loving forever home.

Ash would do wonderfully in a home that can offer companionship, daily walks, and lots of love. In return, he will bring warmth, loyalty, and many happy moments to his new family.
