Pharmacy Technician Society of British Columbia The Pharmacy Technician Society of British Columbia is the leader for Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants in BC.

The purpose of the society is to:
-Promote education and communication
-Enhance and strengthen leadership capabilities
-Promote professionalism
-Act as a valuable resource for Pharmacy Technicians and
Pharmacy Assistants in BC

We will achieve these by:

-Encouraging all Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants,
Pharmacy Personnel and students to join PTSBC

-Increasing awareness through communication, continuing
education, and networking

-Increasing involvement with other professional organizations in
the field

-Keeping members informed on provincial and national initiatives
and events within the profession

-Keeping members up-to-date on Regulations of Pharmacy
Technicians at both a provincial and national level

-Supporting ongoing professional development and continuous
learning opportunities

-Providing information on employment opportunities throughout
the province

-Building and maintaining alliances with industry and other
related members of the healthcare team

PTSBC Executive:

PTSBC has no paid employees. All those involved with the day-to-day operations of the PTSBC are volunteers. Membership fees provide valuable member services and benefits such as professional development. Our Values

🎉 Happy World Pharmacy Technician Day! 🎉

Today, we join colleagues around the world in celebrating the incredible contributions of pharmacy technicians and the pharmacy support workforce.

This year's celebration is a reminder that pharmacy technicians are making an impact not only locally, but globally. At the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Congress in Montreal, CAPT representatives connected with pharmacy professionals from around the world, sharing ideas, learning about evolving technician roles, and proudly showcasing Canada's pharmacy technician profession on the international stage.

As one of the few countries with regulated pharmacy technicians, Canada is increasingly recognized as a leader in technician practice. Through our conversations with international colleagues, we continue to demonstrate the value of regulation and inspire other nations to explore similar opportunities.

That leadership continues beyond today. CAPT President Sheena Deane will participate in the FIP digital event, One Pharmacy: Advancing Pharmacy Technicians and the Pharmacy Support Workforce, while Lyona Lunter, CAPT Director of Social Media and Communication, has been invited to contribute to strategic planning discussions with the Pharmacy Board of Australia on pharmacy technician regulation.

Together, we're advancing the profession in Canada and helping shape conversations around the world.
