Next week, the Marine Institute, Memorial University will host its Ship Design Open House, featuring the final capstone projects of the 2026 graduating class from the Naval Architecture and Marine Mechanical Design programs.

The Open House will include a comprehensive Design Gallery showcasing detailed 3D models, technical drawings, stability books, and other projects that reflect months of engineering, technical design, and collaboration. Those interested in learning more about Naval Architecture, Marine Mechanical Design, and related career pathways are encouraged to attend.

Gail brings a wealth of experience and insight to the committee. Since joining Newfoundland & Labrador Hydro in 2018, she has played a key leadership role as Vice President, People & Corporate Affairs, with responsibility for Human Resources; Corporate Strategy, Risk and Sustainability; Safety, Health and Environment; and Strategic Communications, Culture and Brand.
