We’re proud to share that Bill Guiney is kicking off his 11th Annual Fundraiser for Mental Health on Sunday, June 21 💙

This year’s challenge-The Long Walk for Mental Health and Guiney Push-Up Challenge-will see Bill walk 70 km from Cape Broyle to Signal Hill, completing 10 push-ups for every kilometer along the way. An incredible commitment in support of mental health in our communities.

Once again, Bill has generously pledged to split the funds raised between Ruah Counselling Centre and The Gathering Place.

We are deeply grateful for Bill’s ongoing dedication, compassion, and advocacy. His efforts continue to make a meaningful difference by raising both awareness and critical funds for mental health supports in our province.

If you’d like to support Ruah Counselling Centre, please consider making a donation:

Canadian Mental Health Week, May 4–10

This week, we’re joining communities across Canada to recognize Canadian Mental Health Week and the power of connection. 💚

Meaningful connections, supportive communities, and simple moments of care can make a meaningful difference to our mental health. During Mental Health Week, we invite you to come together-check in on a friend, reach out for support, or take one small step toward well‑being.

Mental health matters to all of us, and no one has to walk this journey alone 💚.

💙 National Volunteer Week 💙

This National Volunteer Week, we want to take a moment to extend our deepest thanks to our Volunteer Board of Directors and Committee Members.

Our Board and Committee Members generously give their time, expertise, and care to support the mission and long‑term sustainability of Ruah as a non-profit community counselling agency. Their leadership, thoughtful decision‑making, and steady guidance play a vital role in ensuring that accessible, compassionate mental health services remain available in our community.

As volunteers, our Board and committee members bring diverse skills and experience to their roles, often working quietly behind the scenes—reviewing policies, stewarding resources, and helping to guide the organization forward with integrity and vision. Their commitment supports not only our organization, but the many individuals and families who avail of our services.

We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, collaboration, and belief in the importance of community‑based mental health care. Thank you for your service, your advocacy, and the countless hours you give so generously.

Thank you, Ruah Board of Directors and Committee Members—this week and always.
