Carson Kallis (Burnaby Mountain Golf Club) emerged victorious at this week's 2026 Play Golf Canada Play Golf BC Assistants' Championship at The Dunes At Kamloops, finishing at 11-under par over two days of competition.

The victory is Kallis’ first in a PGA of BC championship.

Jordan Irwin (Saratoga Beach Golf Course) earned runner-up honours with his impressive 10-under finish. James Swan (Olympic View Golf Club) finished in third place at 7-under. Nicklaus Kennedy (Talking Rock Golf Course), Victor Choi (Capilano Golf & Country Club), and Will Barnett (Vancouver Golf Club) tied for fourth place at 6-under par.

Round One of the 2026 Play Golf BC Play Golf Canada Assistants' Championship is complete, with Saratoga Beach Golf Course's Jordan Irwin taking a one-shot lead at The Dunes At Kamloops. Irwin was 7-under today.

Firing a bogey-free 66 (-6) today, Carson Kallis (Burnaby Mountain Golf Club) sits in second place, just one shot off the lead.

Clark MacPherson (Point Grey Golf & Country Club) and James Swan (Olympic View Golf Club) are tied for third place at 4-under.

Five professionals are tied for fifth place at 3-under: Will Barnett (Vancouver Golf Club), Zac Carson (Nicklaus North Golf Course), Michael Caan (Riverway Golf Course), Giunue Choi (Capilano Golf & Country Club), and Ethan Danish (Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club).

The latest episode of the PGA of BC Podcast presented by Great North Golf is now available! Host Derek Orr is joined by PGA of Canada Class “A” Professional and Predator Ridge Resort Academy Manager Kyla Inaba.

Kyla was recognized as the PGA of BC Coach of the Year in 2025 and PGA of BC Teacher of the Year in 2023. She was awarded the PGA of BC Community Leadership Award (2020) for her work in growing the Predator Ridge Swing Like a Girl Program and women’s golf community. In 2021, she was a part of the inaugural Golf Canada & PGA of Canada Women in Coaching Program.

Point Grey Golf & Country Club Director of Golf Dave Zibrik and Men's Club Champion Alex Foxcroft emerged triumphant from a sudden-victory playoff at the PING Canada Tournament of Champions presented by Kailani Outdoors yesterday at Black Mountain Golf Club.

The win takes Point Grey Golf and Country Club to a record-setting five victories in the event. Zibrik's fourth victory in the event is also the most all-time by any one individual.

The PGA of BC’s 2026 competitive schedule makes its season debut with the PING Canada Tournament of Champions presented by Kailani Outdoors, set to take place Monday, May 25 at Black Mountain Golf Club in Kelowna.

Black Mountain is carved into the Okanagan landscape, using the natural mountainside topography to create steady elevation changes, tight fairways and several demanding approach shots. The surrounding cliffs and views of Kelowna give the event a striking setting to open the Association’s tournament season.

The defending champions enter with a chance to make event history. Victoria Golf Club’s Director of Golf Lindsay Bernakevitch and Men’s Club Champion Craig Doell captured last year’s Tournament of Champions title at Fairview Mountain Golf Club, giving Victoria Golf Club its fourth Tournament of Champions victory and tying Point Grey Golf & Country Club for the most all-time by a club.
