What a wonderful evening!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone from the Greater Vancouver Area who joined us for our Unicorn Tribe year-end celebration. Your presence made the evening special, and the incredible variety of delicious food reminded me once again how generous and thoughtful this community is.
Rather than talking about speeches and club business, we spent the evening talking about each other. We laughed our way through The Ungame, enjoyed Esther Perel's conversation cards, and, by the end of the evening, were brave enough to tackle a few of the infamous pink cards! There were plenty of laughs, wonderful stories, and moments of genuine connection.
Although we didn't spend much time discussing it, this year marked an extraordinary milestone: our seventh consecutive year as a President's Distinguished Club. That achievement doesn't happen by accident. It is built meeting by meeting, speech by speech, role by role. It comes from members showing up, preparing, encouraging one another, volunteering, taking on leadership, welcoming guests, and consistently giving their very best.
The real magic of Unicorn Tribe has never been the ribbons or awards. It is what happens when a group of people commits to helping one another grow. When everyone contributes at a high level, everyone rises. Confidence grows. Skills grow. Friendships deepen. Leaders emerge. Together we create an environment where people discover they are capable of far more than they imagined.
As the evening came to a close, Paul issued Tom and me a delightful challenge—to write the story of Unicorn Tribe. It feels like the perfect next adventure. Capturing how this club came to be, the people who shaped it, and the lessons we've learned will undoubtedly stretch both of us.
Then again, that's what Unicorn Tribe has always been about.
The learning never stops.
The growing never stops.
And thankfully, neither does the laughter.
Thank you all for making this club—and this community—such a remarkable place to belong.
