How do people in the RV industry spend their weekends? 🚐

Many of them head out camping, of course.

What do they take? That depends. A travel trailer is a popular answer, but among RV people, “what should we camp in?” can become a full conversation about layouts, storage, towing, features, and the exact location of the levelling blocks.

They might notice a well-organized campsite setup before the view.
They may have a favourite floorplan.
They definitely know that “we’ll pack light” is a bold statement.

The RV industry is built by people who understand the lifestyle from every angle, whether they work in service, sales, parts, administration, marketing, or leadership.

So, how do RV people RV? With a little know-how, plenty of opinions, and a great excuse to get outdoors.

🔥❤️ This Canadian RV & Camping Month, every campfire can help create something bigger.

Through the Campfires That Care initiative, participating campgrounds across Canada are donating $1 from every bundle of firewood sold during June to support Care Camps Foundation.

Those donations help send children with cancer and their families to medically supervised oncology camps across Canada at no cost to the families.

It’s a simple idea with an incredible impact:
One bundle of firewood. 🪵
One campfire.🔥
One more child given the chance to laugh, play, connect, and make lasting memories.🌌⭐

As you travel this summer, we encourage RVers and campers to support participating campgrounds, gather around the fire, and help turn campfire moments into something meaningful. 🏕️✨

When Jonathan Stone was named the 2025 Canadian RV Dealer of the Year, it wasn't just a win for Stone's RV New Glasgow—it was a beautiful milestone for an entire community.

As a third-generation leader co-owning the business alongside his sisters, Chantal and Danielle, Jonathan carries forward a family tradition of trust and customer service that began over 50 years ago. In a deeply moving full-circle moment, his win matched the honor given to his father, Kim Stone, who received the exact same award back in 2006.

Jonathan didn't earn this on sales charts alone. He earned it by serving on numerous national and Provincial boards representing Atlantic Canada, and committing years to coaching local hockey programs in Nova Scotia.

This is what the RV Lifestyle Magazine and RVDA of Canada Walter Paseska Memorial Award stands for. It’s for the quiet champions, the humble volunteers, and the pillars of integrity who give everything to their communities and our industry.

The cutoff for the 2026 award cycle is August 31st. Outstanding leaders like Jonathan never ask for the spotlight—it takes a peer to nominate them. Who in your network deserves to have their story told on the national stage this year?

🎉 RVDA of BC is Celebrating 50 Years! 🎉

This year marks a major milestone as the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association of British Columbia celebrates 50 years of serving and supporting BC’s RV industry.

Since 1976, RVDA of BC has been proud to represent RV dealers, suppliers, service professionals, and industry partners across the province. As the first provincial RVDA association in Canada, we have spent five decades advocating for our members, promoting professionalism, supporting education and training, and helping grow the RV lifestyle that so many Canadians enjoy.

To celebrate this special anniversary, we invite our members, industry partners, past leaders, and friends to join us at our 50th Anniversary AGM & Golf Fundraiser at Harrison Hot Springs, August 26–28, 2026.

Together, we'll reflect on where we've been, celebrate the people who helped build our association, and look ahead to the next 50 years of innovation, collaboration, and adventure.

Thank you to all our members, volunteers, sponsors, and industry partners who have been part of this incredible journey. Here's to 50 years—and the road ahead! 🚐💙

Not all contributions happen in front of the camera. 🚐👏

As we reflect on the 2026 Skills Canada National Competition, we'd like to recognize Jamie McMillan and the team at Campkin's RV Centre for their incredible support behind the scenes.

By providing the Prolite trailer and supporting the showcase, Jamie played an important role in bringing the RV industry to life for visitors at SCNC. The trailer became a natural conversation starter, helping spark discussions about the skills, technology, and career opportunities that exist throughout the RV industry.

At its core, SCNC is about career discovery. Support from industry leaders like Jamie helps us introduce students, teachers, and parents to an industry that offers rewarding careers, strong growth opportunities, and a place for a wide range of talents and interests.

Thank you, Campkin's RV, for helping us showcase the RV industry and inspire the next generation of talent. 🔧✨
