🗣️ On Monday, July 20th, Richmond city council voted 6-2 to extend the lease of a 40‑unit low‑barrier housing complex for another three years after a four‑hour public hearing. Public feedback included calls for more transparency, accountability, and data on the success of residents living at Aster Place, and council asked staff to review the memorandum of understanding with BC Housing to strengthen operations and programs. About 25 speakers, both for and against, spoke at the hearing.

Dialogue Richmond was proud to join this public hearing as part of our commitment to building a socially responsible and connected community. We will keep creating opportunities for open, constructive dialogue and encourage local residents to stay involved in shaping the well‑being of our neighbourhood.

Thank you to RMCS and the Richmond Centre for Disability for hosting the A Place to Belong event.

It was such a fun and interactive celebration that brought our community together through global soccer and cultural diversity.

From collecting “passport” stamps to testing our skills at the mini soccer station, it was a joyful reminder of how vibrant and welcoming our community truly is.

On May 30th, Dialogue Richmond joined the Transit-Oriented Development and You event hosted by the Richmond Citizens’ Association.

Our community showed up with thoughtful ideas and honest concerns about how we can improve public transit in Richmond.

We as Dialogue Richmond will continue to show up, listen, and engage at local events in our community.
