📘 Autism Support Network Annual Impact Report

We are pleased to share this year’s Annual Impact Report, highlighting the collective impact our community has made over the past year.

The Autism Support Network exists to empower parents and improve access to evidence-based autism services for autistic individuals and their families.

This report reflects the work we’ve done alongside families, professionals, volunteers, and community partners to strengthen access to information, education, and support for evidence-based autism services.

From parent support meetings and educational workshops to community outreach and information sharing, each initiative has been guided by our commitment to helping parents and families navigate their autism journey with confidence and connection.

We are deeply grateful to the families, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and partners who make this work possible. Your support continues to drive meaningful change in our community.

We invite you to read the full report and take a moment to reflect on what we have accomplished together—and the opportunities ahead.

June 16th, 2026

Today, the British Columbia Disability Collaborative (BCDC) released a press statement expressing concerns that the proposed eligibility criteria establish an unreasonably high threshold that may exclude many children and youth who require support.

The Autism Support Network is sharing this information because families across British Columbia are raising significant concerns about the removal of autism specific funding and transition to the new model and the requirement to provide additional documentation to establish eligibility.

ASN remains committed to individualized funding and access to evidence-based autism services. Families should not be forced to navigate unnecessary administrative barriers to access evidence based supports, and the burden being placed on families through this transition is unfair.

What a fantastic day at the ASN Charity Challenge! ☀️🏅

A huge thank you to our incredible ASN Club Fit team, parents, caregivers, support workers, BI's, friends, family members, and supporters who came out to participate, cheer, and celebrate with us.

Massive shout out to our amazing Volunteers including a team from Amazon! THANK YOU!

Despite the warm temperatures, there was plenty of shade, water, and community spirit as our team members crossed the finish line and proudly earned their medals.

Most importantly, participants experienced firsthand the benefits of exercise, movement, inclusion, and community connection.

Congratulations to everyone who took part—we are so proud of you! 🎉

Stay tuned for our event highlight video coming soon.

And it's not too late to support the ASN! Fundraising remains open until June 28. Every contribution helps us continue providing free information, education, and support to families across BC.

May 31 – June 6 is National AccessAbility Week ♿💜

Founded by Rick Hansen and inspired by the Man In Motion World Tour, National AccessAbility Week celebrates the contributions of people with disabilities and encourages all of us to help remove barriers in our communities.

At the Autism Support Network, accessibility means helping families access the information, education, and support they need to make informed decisions and navigate complex systems. Through free educational presentations, parent support meetings, one-on-one mentorship, multilingual programming, and community events, we work to create more inclusive opportunities for autistic individuals and their families.

Building a more accessible BC is a shared responsibility, and we're proud to be part of that work every day.
