Athletes competing in the High Performance and Recreational Black Belt sparring divisions are required to weigh in on Friday, October 9th at 1 of the following locations:

Please make sure you arrive within the listed weigh-in times. The Langley weigh-in is only available for one hour.

Please check your Fitofan registration information and make sure your registered weight division is correct before weigh-in. If it is not correct, please send us a DM with your correct weight. The cutoff for weight correction is Monday, October 5th at 11:00 PM.

Taekwondo Canada Announces Dates and Location for 2027 Events

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your patience with this. Please see the announcement below in English and French on the dates and location for the 2027 National Championships and 2027 Canada Open. As always, I am available to discuss any questions you may have regarding the announcement.

This month brings the formal announcement of Taekwondo Canada’s 2027 National Championships and 2027 Canada Open. Both major domestic and international events will be held March 2-8, 2027 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia.

The events, inpartnership with B.C. Taekwondo, will allow for the top taekwondo athletes in Canada to meet and compete for national title opportunities followed by the 2027 Canada Open, which sees Taekwondo Canada once again welcome the world for what will be top international competition in one of only two international events held in North America in 2027.

The event package and accommodation listings will be provided in the near future so make sure you keep visiting the Taekwondo Canada website for more information.

Ce mois-ci marque l’annonce officielle des Championnats nationaux 2027 et de l’Open du Canada 2027 organisés par Taekwondo Canada. Ces deux événements majeurs, tant nationaux qu’internationaux, se dérouleront du 2 au 8 mars 2027 au Centre des congrès de Vancouver, dans la magnifique ville de Vancouver, en Colombie-Britannique.

Organisés en partenariat avec B.C. Taekwondo, ces événements permettront aux meilleurs athlètes de taekwondo du Canada de se rencontrer et de s’affronter pour décrocher un titre national. Ils seront suivis de l’Open du Canada 2027, à l’occasion duquel Taekwondo Canada accueillera une nouvelle fois le monde entier pour ce qui sera l’une des deux seules compétitions internationales de haut niveau organisées en Amérique du Nord en 2027.

Taekwondo BC is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Richmond Olympic Oval to support High Performance training opportunities for our Poomsae and Kyorugi athletes.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Taekwondo BC President, Master Tony Kook, whose leadership and vision were instrumental in establishing this partnership. This initiative represents an important step forward in creating a centralized environment where British Columbia’s athletes can train together and where coaches can collaborate, share knowledge, and continue to develop the sport across the province.

As President Kook has stated, our goal is for Taekwondo BC to become the leading Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization (PTSO) in Canada and a model of excellence for others to follow.

Thank you to all the coaches and members of our taekwondo community who joined us today to celebrate this important milestone and support the future growth of high-performance taekwondo in British Columbia.

Mudo Invitational Taekwondo Tournament

This will be a small, friendly colour belt tournament designed for practice and fun before the upcoming BC Open at the end of May. Large trophies will be awarded for 1st to 3rd places, and participation medals will be given to all competitors.
