❤️ What better way to celebrate 50 years of marriage than by sharing that joy with others?

Last December, Thomas and Fiona Yeung marked their golden anniversary by inviting family and friends to support Richmond Hospital Foundation.💍

Having both experienced cancer and treatment over the past decade, the Richmond couple wanted to give back for the care, compassion, and innovation that helped them through some of life's most challenging moments.

This spring, Cecilia & Kevin Music School and VanString Chamber Music transformed their passion for music into support for local health care through a special charity concert. 🎻❤️

Together with talented young musicians, family members, and community supporters, they raised $5,000 for Richmond Hospital Foundation's Gift of Health.

When Fiona was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2025, their world stopped.

“We are Thomas and Fiona Yeung. We immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 1988 and have called Richmond home ever since.”

For Thomas and Fiona, the diagnosis brought fear, uncertainty, and countless questions about what lay ahead. Having gone through cancer treatment himself a decade earlier, Thomas knew all too well the challenges that come with the journey.

But this time, thanks to the compassionate care received at Richmond Hospital, they felt very supported. From a dedicated care team to RESPONSe, an innovative app that helped them navigate treatment and its side effects, they found reassurance, guidance, and hope.

They are filled with gratitude for the care that helped them face one of life's greatest challenges.❤️🩵

🤝 COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER - McHappy Day Brings Plenty of Smiles to Richmond Health Care 🍟

This year's McHappy Day once again brought the Richmond community together in support of better health care close to home.

For the sixth year, Chao's Generation Inc., owner of six Richmond McDonald's Canada restaurants, selected Richmond Hospital Foundation as a beneficiary of McHappy Day. Together, customers, staff, families, and supporters helped raise nearly $9,000 for the POWER UP Campaign.

Every visit, every contribution, and every act of generosity reflects what can happen when a community comes together around a shared purpose.
