🎠✨ One idea. One community. One incredible impact.

What began as a grassroots initiative brought together co-organizers Cheryl Kwok, Hanabi Events, and Win Lui Group, alongside dedicated community partners, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, for an unforgettable weekend of fun, connection, and giving back.

Together, our community raised more than $131,000 for the Richmond Hospital Foundation POWER UP Campaign, helping support the future of care for patients and families in Richmond.

October 4 to 10 is Make a Will Week in British Columbia.

While creating or updating a will is an important part of planning ahead, this week also offers an opportunity for us to pause and reflect on a more personal question: What will we be remembered for?✨

For Angela Fok, the answer begins with the people she will always remember. When her grandfather received palliative care at Richmond Hospital, Angela witnessed the compassion and kindness shown not only to him, but to her entire family. That experience inspired years of support for the hospital she calls home and ultimately a legacy commitment that will help future patients and families.

Perhaps what we're remembered for is not what we leave behind, but the lives we touch along the way.🩵❤️

A 40% chance changed Steve’s life🌟

For Steve Chen, what began as difficulty walking turned into the possibility of losing his leg.

Today, in his 80s, he's walking again and enjoying a quality of life he once feared was out of reach.

Steve is grateful for the care that helped save his leg when amputation seemed unavoidable. In return, he continues to support Richmond Hospital so others can receive the same compassionate care close to home.

"This experience reminded me why I give. I love knowing that I'm supporting the hospital that was there for me when I needed it most."

When care changes a life, it often inspires someone to help change another. ❤️🩵
