The CLPNS Council is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and members of the public to serve on two important committees: the Counselling & Investigation (C&I) Committee and the Discipline Committee.

Why get involved?

This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to professional regulation and help uphold standards that protect the public.

What you’ll do:

🔹 Counselling & Investigation Committee – Review complaints submitted to CLPNS, assess materials in advance, and determine appropriate next steps in accordance with legislation.

🔹 Discipline Committee – Participate in formal hearings related to LPN conduct and practice, and contribute to fair, well-reasoned decisions on outcomes.

We’re looking for individuals who:

✔️ Understand (or are interested in) professional regulation

✔️ Can apply fairness and sound judgment

✔️ Prioritize the public interest

✔️ Communicate effectively

✔️ Are comfortable using email and Microsoft Word

Additional requirements:

• Reliable internet access

• Availability for weekday meetings

What’s provided:

Successful candidates will receive training, orientation, and ongoing education opportunities. Committee members are also compensated through per diems, in accordance with CLPNS policy.
