A celebration can be more than an occasion. It can be an opportunity to connect, learn, raise awareness, and remind our community that every voice matters. ❤️
At RIWC’s End-of-Summer Celebration, we came together to celebrate community while bringing attention to elder abuse awareness, financial safety, and fraud prevention.
It was a meaningful afternoon filled with connection, learning, and gratitude. The event reminded us that community gatherings can create more than memories, they can build awareness, confidence, and meaningful connections that help us support and protect one another.
🙏 A special thank you to Elder May Desnomie for joining us, sharing her presence, and offering a prayer for the success of our event. Your support and guidance added a special meaning to our gathering, and we are truly grateful.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Regina Police Service (RPS) for joining us and providing an important presentation on recognizing financial scams and fraud, and on ways we can protect ourselves and our loved ones. These conversations are essential as we continue working together to build safer, stronger, and more informed communities.
