We are dedicated to enriching the lives of community members in and around Albert Park through recreational programming, events, and fun! The Albert Park Community Association (APCA) serves the area of Regina south of 25th Avenue and west of Albert Street, and now welcomes Harbour Landing residents. During its life APCA has grown and evolved along with its residents and the ever-changing neighbour
hood. APCA was established in 1964, and incorporated as a Not For Profit Organization in 1971. APCA makes donations annually to local charities and towards local school community councils for playground and auditorium upgrades. Volunteer Recognition Scholarships are awarded annually to deserving Grade 8 & and Grade 12 graduates from Albert Park and Harbour Landing. APCA nominates a volunteer from the community for recognition at the annual South Zone Awards Banquet. And, APCA organizes free public skating on Thursdays for area residents. The South Leisure Centre (170 Sunset Drive) is the main facility for APCA programs, and on any given weekday programs fill the gym and multipurpose rooms. Fitness, art and cultural programs are scheduled throughout the year, for all ages. Programs run the gamut from a wide variety of fitness classes, soccer, power skating, badminton, drawing, floor hockey, pickleball, improv, and much more. If you have an idea for a new program, please let us know so that we can start the ball rolling to add your program to the mix. APCA has assisted in capital development projects in Realtorโs Park surrounding the South Leisure Centre (170 Sunset Drive): Optimist Arena, splash pad, shade structure & picnic benches, play structure, and the newest development, Reginaโs first outdoor gym (located between Sunset Extendicare & Optimist Arena). Become a member or volunteer and help support your community!
