Were you following the happenings of the Lutheran Church Canada Convention? If so, you may have noticed quite a few familiar faces! Wascana circuit was prominent as many of the pastors were nominated to positions within Synod. Congratulations Pastor Ted Giese (pastor of Mount Olive Lutheran Church ) on being elected as Vice President of Synod. Congratulations also to Pastor Arron Gust (currently pastor at Grace Lutheran Church, Regina Saskatchewan ) on your election as Regional Pastor.
We also rejoice in the gift of a new Synodical President as Pastor David Haberstock steps into this role. Pastor Haberstock is currently serving as Central Regional Pastor but you may also remember him also as a pastor within Wascana circuit, having served as pastor at Grace as well, prior to being elected Regional Pastor.
God's blessings to these, His servants. And well done, Wascana circuit...you sure know how to train them!
On the morning of June 13, Lutheran Church–Canada elected Rev. David Haberstock to serve as the church’s new synodical president and Rev. Ted Giese as vice-president.
