HELP US SAVE THESE DESERVING CATS!

Fall is fast approaching. The nights are already getting cold, and that will only get rapidly worse on the downhill slide to the long, frigid winter!

These poor cats are just a few of the many who are already relying on our feeding stations for food. They're on our "MOST WANTED" list - most wanted to be rescued.

Our costs lately have been astronomical, with such a big number of rescues over the summer. The last RAC fundraiser barely got us out of the red. Much as we hate to, we must appeal to our supporters yet again.

Sponsors are being sought for these poor souls - someone who would cover the cost of the neuter/spay/microchip/deworming of a cat of your choice from this lineup, or better yet, any given one, as we never know who will go into our traps, or in what order. The average cost of those veterinary services is approximately $350 per male, and $425 per female.

Even with that covered, the hard part starts - finding fosters for all of them. Most or all will have been abandoned and will be timid and mistrustful of humans, for good reason.

We would like to get trapping before the really cold weather arrives. But we simply can't run on credit, so it will only be possible to proceed if we find sponsors, and fosters.

It brings our volunteers pain every single day, seeing these cats out there, and knowing what lies ahead for them if we cannot take them away from the cruel street life.💔😥

If you are able to help us save a life in any way - full sponsorship of one cat's costs, a donation of any amount, or the offer of a quiet, separate room in your home to foster one of these poor, rejected creatures, please email us at [email protected]

🐾 FOLLOW THE PASSION YOU KNOW IS INSIDE YOU 🐾

I have always known that animals were my passion. I have loved them for as long as I can remember. But my love for cats really began when I was young, after my parents adopted a cat. From that moment on, there was just something about cats that captured my heart. ❤️🐱

Seven years ago, I decided to stop simply thinking about that passion and follow my heart. I started volunteering with Regina Alley Cats. Little did I know then that this decision would change my life. What began as volunteering eventually led me to becoming a board member and an essential part of running the rescue.

I'm sharing this because there truly is no better feeling in the world than knowing you've saved a life.

In 2020, I had the privilege of saving two little lives that will stay with me forever.

Pip was living in a shed that, unbelievably, burned down the very next day after we rescued her.

And then there was Max, who I personally witnessed being dropped from the roof of a recreation centre. I knew we couldn't leave him behind.

Today, Pip and Max are happy, healthy and living their best lives. ❤️

They are a testament to why I do what I do. They are the reason I keep going when rescue feels overwhelming, heartbreaking and exhausting. Because behind every difficult rescue is a cat who deserves the chance to know what love, safety and a warm bed feel like.

But the truth is, without rescuers, foster homes, adopters and people willing to support small rescues in our city, cats like Pip and Max don't stand a chance.

They are left behind to struggle and suffer on the streets, often facing hunger, injury, illness, abuse, extreme weather and unimaginable danger.

Regina Alley Cats is 100% dependent on your support. We desperately need foster homes and adopters. We need people who are willing to open their homes and their hearts and give a cat a chance.

So if you've ever thought, "Maybe I should foster."
If you've ever thought, "Maybe I should adopt."
If you've ever wondered how you could make a difference…

This is your sign. ❤️

You don't have to save every cat. You just have to save one.

One foster home can change a life.
One adoption can change a life.
One donation can help provide the food or veterinary care that keeps a cat alive.

Please don't wait.

Every day that goes by means there are cats like Pip and Max still out there waiting for someone to follow their heart.

Follow the passion you know is inside you. You might just save a life. 🐾❤️

GINGER & BILLY NEED A HOME!

I mean, look at these guys!

Have you ever seen paws like Ginger's? So many toes, and pads going on there, it's hard to keep count! Very lynx-like! Wow! Who would need a fly swatter in the house?🪰😻And that creamy colouring! And those aquamarine eyes! This guy is not only gorgeous, he's got a sweet personality too - timid at first, but once he warms to you, it's clear that he's beautiful on the inside as well.

Handsome Billy is a charming fellow too, with a friendly, gentle disposition.

These two came from a rather desperate, sad situation. Now they need a quiet, secure, loving home. It's high time they started living the life they deserve.

Confinement to the tiny boarding space is stressful for Billy and Ginger. If you have a safe room for them in your home, even to foster temporarily, please consider that option.

While it would be wonderful if Billy and Ginger could stay together, it's not imperative.

Both cats are approximately 3 years old, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
