PG Humane Society At the PG Humane Society, we rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected, and abandoned animals.

We provide surrendered, rescued and stray animals with a safe, loving environment to live, rest, and heal as they await their forever homes, while focusing on supporting remote and Indigenous communities with limited resources and access to veterinary care through programs and services aimed at reducing pet overpopulation; additionally, through our Adoption and Humane Education Center, we offer educational programs for children and adults to foster compassion toward all living creatures.

For the first time in Prince George Humane Society history, a 50/50 sellout is actually within reach. We have never done this before. And with ticket sales ending Monday, August 31st, we have just a few days to make it happen.

It’s Friday. We’re hoping it’s payday. 😉 We’re hoping you’re feeling a little generous. And most of all, we’re hoping you’ll help us finish what this incredible community started.

I don’t even know how to put into words what it has been like watching this 50/50 grow over the last few weeks.

Every single day, I check it. And every single day, I watch that number climb, sometimes by thousands of dollars in a day. It has been absolutely phenomenal.

And now… we are only $12,000 away.

We have NEVER sold out a Prince George Humane Society 50/50 before. And we want to make this happen so badly, not just so we can say we did it, but because of what that sellout means for the animals who depend on us. ❤️

It means food. Medical care. Warm beds. Shelter. Second chances. And the ability to say YES when another animal needs us.

we currently have so many amazing dogs looking for their forever homes. We’ve had a recent rush of new arrivals, including a mama dog and her 9 puppies, so we’d love to help these wonderful dogs find their people!

if you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, please consider adopting from us! We have so many wonderful dogs waiting for someone to choose them. Some may be happiest crashing on your couch, while others could be your next dog sports prospect! 🐾

please take a look at the pictures below. Each dog will have a description underneath with more information about their personality, needs, and what kind of home they may be looking for. ❤️

interested in adopting or fostering?

if you’re interested in adopting, or even becoming a foster to give one of our shelter dogs a little respite from shelter life, please apply through our website.

you can also come by 4011 Lansdowne Road to pick up a physical application.

if there’s a specific dog you’re interested in, please submit an application first. This allows us to make sure the dog is a good fit for your home and helps us plan visits accordingly.

🐾 for dogs currently in foster:
once your application has been approved, we will communicate with the foster family and arrange a time for you to meet the dog.

🏠 for dogs currently at the shelter:
our visiting hours are:

monday–friday: 11:00 am–5:00 pm

saturday: 11:00 am–2:30 pm

sunday: closed

The scared dog who will arrive at our shelter next month doesn’t know about our 50/50.

The tiny kitten who may need emergency veterinary care doesn’t know.

The animal who will need food, medication, warmth, patience and time before they’re ready to trust again, they don’t know either.

But we know.

We know that every dollar raised through this raffle gives us more ability to say YES when an animal needs help.

August 31st is the final day to purchase tickets, and we are asking our community to help us make these last few days count.
