September is National Drug & Alcohol Addiction Recovery Month.

Women can face unique challenges on the road to recovery, including different responses to substances, barriers to treatment such as childcare, and health risks that can become more severe over time or during pregnancy, illness, or after experiencing sexual violence.

If you’re struggling, you’re not alone, and help is waiting for you. Recovery is possible. The hard work, commitment, and courage it takes to take those first steps can lead to a healthier, happier life.

In fact, more than 90% of people in successful recovery report that their quality of life is good, very good, or excellent.

You deserve support. You deserve healing. You deserve a future. πŸ’œ

Together, we can stand in remembrance, learn from one another, and support efforts that create safer communities.

Are you looking for an extra tool to support your mental well-being? πŸ’œ

Doro is a free AI-powered mental wellness app designed and co-founded by a student at the University of Waterloo. It was designed to help people manage everyday stress, anxiety, overthinking, and perfectionism before those feelings become more overwhelming.

Built using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, it offers personalized conversations, guided coping strategies, journaling, and daily activities that adapt to your needs over time. It's intended to complement, not replace, professional mental health support.
