I'm not so sure about this one...

Firstly, I have to say that these things are awesome and super fun. They print well and they work even better.

There are 2 main reasons why I'm not so sure about this one:
1) The spinners will literally disappear into the sky. These things have real range, so they'll end up very far from where they start.

2) The temptation. I couldn't resist giving it a test in the lab, something I can't recommend anyone try. Still, the temptation to do stupid things with these is very real. I don't think anyone will lose an eye, but there's a real risk of damage to other objects. This spinner is very good at crashing into things aggressively and bouncing around like a pinball, so I probably won't do more of these.

I will probably give these ones to adults with kids. At least then I know that the parents understand the risks and moderating how its used (in theory lol). I might print a couple more spinners so that each launcher comes with 3 spinners, but once they're gone they're gone. Too much fun, and I'd rather be able to give out the toys I make without restrictions.

Adding to the collection, I did more of the spinning tops PETG material. The combination of the deep purple + blue with the lime green makes a bold theme.

Printed a little while ago, these Jeeps are printed in Sunlu PLA+ (yellow and black) and Sunlu Matte PLA (red). They were originally much smaller, but I've made them larger and more sturdy so that they hold up to real playtime. These are on the list of things that are waiting to be packaged and donated.

The original "Tiny Jeep" is by idenny1 on MakerWorld.

Printing some super fun Beyblade style spinning tops, 16 + 1 test print so far. They spin SO well, even on the dimpled concrete floor in the lab. I'm planning on printing more of these since they turn out so well.

Printed in various colors of Sunlu PLA+, these both look great and are super sturdy. I've spun these up as hard as I possibly could as an adult male, so they're definitely able to handle anything children will throw at it.

This model was designed by AbyssalCactus on MakerWorld, and the overall quality is exceptional.

A simple spring powered wind-up car by AD-Concept on MakerWorld. This was a pretty easy and efficient print for how functional it is, and the designer offers 3 different transmission gear ratios to trade varying amounts of acceleration for added range.

Yellow Deeplee / Elegoo PLA Pro
Black PolySonic PLA
Red Sunlu PLA+
White 3D Printing Canada TPU 95A

The tires are just a hexagonal tube I threw together in CAD to print easily. This TPU 95A is a bit hard to provide optimal grip with the "standard" transmission, as the tires do burnout a bit on most surfaces like concrete / wood floors. A softer TPU would be better, but this is still fun and it does some cool fishtailing when it takes off.

I probably should have used black or yellow for the gears etc to keep it "Bumblebee" colors, but this looks cool too. I plan to do a bunch more of these, so there's still time. I'm doing a batch of 3 in cherry red with black rally stripes.

I'll also be testing other materials for the spring, but the current PLA Pro works great. I'm quite curious how much power can be put into the spring with what I have on-hand, which would include ABS, ASA, Nylon, and Polycarbonate. I think that ABS is going to be better than PLA Pro, and I think that Nylon would deliver an insane amount of force.

I hope all of you wonderful people out there are doing great, and I've got a couple little updates on the charity.

- Does this look like 130 toys? My brain says no, but let me know what you all think.

- I'm leveling up our packaging game!
Shown are the new labels, QR codes, and celo bags. These feature an invisible sticky strip and are much cleaner than the sandwich bags I had these kits stored in previously. They didn't cost much to get a bunch on Amazon, so I'd say 100% worth the results. I might upsize them slightly once these are running low, but these will work for the sets I'm currently doing.

- I'm still packaging, but these are 26 sets of "Dino Squad #2" ready to go. The plan is to arrange a rendezvous with the local food bank so that these can go to families with younger children. It seems I can fit 22 of these packaged sets in a big bag, so I'll shoot for 44 sets of Dino Squad #2 + a couple sets separate as samples for the rendezvous.

- I hope to have another 40+ sets (Dino Squad #1, Animal Squad #1) to go with these as I finish packaging. I had most of these packaged already, but with the new celo packs etc I will repack them all. I pulled another 20 stegosauri off of the printer last night, so hopefully I can complete all the sets and clear my inventory completely.

- I've got a some more elaborate fidgets and fancier toys I'll be sharing that I want to send with this shipment. They're intended for the kids that are a little too old for these toys, as I'd like to cover as many ages as possible. More to come!

Possibly my new favorite fidget for the charity to produce. This is the Clicker Wheel V3.0 by BaGoon on Printables. I've done the V1.0, the 1.0 Pro, the 2.0, and the "Mini". The V3.0 has a very polished appearance and feel, and the wheel itself looks great in tricolor filament.

They're fast, material efficient, and fully snap-together without any glue. I'll be making more of these soon and trying out more filaments on them. My hat goes off to BaGoon, who has proven once again to be a great designer.

Today was a satisfying day for the charity.

I delivered about 50 fidget toys to Carrier Sekani's clinic today for the nurses to give to kids. I had been meaning to do this for some time, so it was good to get those out into the world. Many of these have already been shared in photos, so I sadly didn't take new photos for the delivery.

I also had a nice chat with the admin ladies about Carrier Sekani's Family Services department potentially helping with toy distribution to those who need them. They're another group that is already helping a ton of local people, so I'd love to partner up with their organization as a whole.

It's unclear if they're able to commit to this or not yet, but they're lovely to talk to and would be great partners to the charity.
