Another meaningful step in our Food Security Partnership 🙌

Today, UNAC Prince George joined the Canning Circle (EAT Collective) alongside PGPIRG to support hands-on food preparation, community engagement, and contribute jars to their efforts.

Beyond the contribution, we spent 3 hours volunteering, sharing, and learning with an incredible group of community members.

We began with a short reflection on how the work of EAT and the Canning Circle is actively addressing food insecurity in town, and participants naturally connected their efforts to the Sustainable Development Goals đź’š

It was inspiring to see professionals from different fields, dietitians, forestry experts, chefs, and more, bring their unique strengths into collective action.

We’re proud to share that UNAC Prince George has completed our first SDG engagement session with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul 🙌

Together, we connected local action to global impact, highlighting the goals that resonated most with participants:
SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions).

After joining in hands-on kitchen work to support the community, we also shared a short SDG awareness moment.

This is just the beginning. By working alongside organizations already making a difference, we’re helping bring the SDGs to life right here in Prince George.
