Arms of Jesus Children's Mission(AOJ) exists to help develop the spiritual, emotional, educational and physical needs of children in developing and/or poor countries – all in Jesus’ name! The Arms of Jesus Children’s Mission is an Evangelical Christian charity serving vulnerable children through education, sponsorship, and care in Guatemala, Haiti, Kenya, and beyond.

The cooks are in the kitchen! Handmade pasta made from scratch, chicken and bacon roll bathed in homemade BBQ sauce.

Our tourism students are learning culinary skills, proper food handling, creativity, and presentation of dishes. This is helping to promote entrepreneurship so they can prepare and market food products and generate their own income.

Have you ever wondered about the history of The Arms of Jesus Children’s Mission and how it all began?

While going through some old archives, we came across this very special video from 2007 of our late founder, Pastor Sam Martin, sharing the story of how AOJ first began in Kenya, and how the Lord later opened doors for the ministry to expand into Haiti and Guatemala.

It was such a gift to hear his voice again and be reminded of the faith in Jesus Christ and love for people that helped shape this ministry from the very beginning.

So much has changed since this video was recorded, but the mission remains the same: to share the love of Jesus Christ in practical ways with children and families in need. We thought this would be special to share with all of you today. ❤️

We are so thankful to have Wendy, and her dental assistant provide dental care to our students. Wendy will graduate as a dentist this year and is required to volunteer and help in the community using what she has learned during her schooling. Thank you Wendy for choosing AOJ to help our students!

The other exciting thing is that Maria Elena, the dental assistant working alongside Wendy was a sponsor child at AOJ and is now working as a dental assistant. Maria Elena had also helped in the school dental clinic in 2013. How encouraging to see the students apply their education and make steps towards careers. Well done!

What a HUGE job this annual shoe distribution was — over 800 pairs of shoes distributed to our students at Arms of Jesus in Guatemala! 👟❤️

But what a blessing it was to witness.

Today, every sponsored student at AOJ has a brand new pair of shoes. To every sponsor who faithfully gives month after month: thank you. This annual project is only possible because of your love, prayers, and support. You are making a real difference in the lives of these children and families in the name of Jesus Christ.
