Scientists in School Scientists in School is a leading Canadian charity dedicated to sparking children's interest in STEM.

At the heart of Scientists in School's work are our award-winning, inquiry-based workshops for Kindergarten through Grade 8 students. With Scientists in School, students become scientists in their school and are able to see, touch and do science using specialized equipment and materials, all under the guidance of real science experts from their communities.

Hooo's in the Owl Pellet? is a favourite workshop from coast to coast to coast. 🍁

In this hands-on biology workshop, little learners become young scientists as they dissect a real owl pellet, and draw scientific conclusions from what they find!

Hooo's in the Owl Pellet? is available in both French and English across Canada. Grades 4 through 6 can enjoy this workshop online in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and PEI. It's also available online in both languages for grade 3 classes in BC, Northwest Territories, and Yukon. Quebec Cycle 2 classes can experience this workshop, as well as grade 6 in New Brunswick.
