As Christmas approaches, CUPE 129 urges our generous community to donate to St. Paul on the Hill Community Food Bank to ensure no family goes hungry. Our local donated $1000 to St. Paul's on-the-Hill Community Food Bank this week.

Remembering retired CUPE 129 member Willie Donaldson who passed away on Saturday, September 6.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on July 12, 1950. William, fondly known as Willie was born to Grace and William Donaldson.

Willie is lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret, and treasured by his daughters Andrea and Meghan and sons-in-law David and Jay. He was proud Papa of Owen and Graydon, who brought immense joy to his life.

Willie’s legacy is one of deep love, generosity, humour and genuine care for others. His presence brought light and laughter to every room and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be missed and never forgotten by those inside and outside of our local union. He was well respected by all at our workplace. All who knew him carry that precious gift of his memory and we are truly saddened by his passing.

Our thoughts are with the family at this time.
