Did you know we were awarded the 2026 Festivals and Events Ontario Sustainability Award? It recognizes festivals and events that demonstrate commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship🌱

✨Here are a few examples of our efforts…

Since the early 2000s, the dishwashing EcoStation supports food vendors and festival hospitality volunteers in serving up their menu items on PFF’s reusable dishes🍽️

We partner with the City of Peterborough to offer compost collection along with garbage and recycling♻️

PFF rents a mobile drinking water station to provide free drinking water to attendees and prohibits the sale of bottled water💧

This year we used reusable drink tokens at our Cameron’s Pavilion instead of paper tickets to help reduce waste🍻

We’ve partnered with B!KE since 2019 to provide free, secure parking for festival goers – right off the Rotary Trail. This means that people can conveniently use active transportation to get to the festival from downtown, across town, or across the region🚲

For more than 20 years Generation Solar has sponsored a stage where people can enjoy fabulous music and performance, powered entirely by the sun☀️

Our hearts are so full from the magic of the 37th annual Folk Fest and from what we’ve heard, yours are too!💛 It was such a joyous festival, with everyone enjoying one another’s company and every last drop of music, culture and community they could squeeze in.

We can’t express our gratitude enough for the incredible sponsors, donors, volunteers and artists who came together to make Peterborough Folk Fest 2026 happen. And of course thank YOU for joining us!

What better way to celebrate an incredible festival than to plan to do it all again next year!? The 38th annual Peterborough Folk Fest will be held from August 12-15, 2027. Save the date, we already can’t wait!

Announcing this year's Emerging Artist Night! 🔥🎶

Join us on January 16, 2027, for a one-night-only showcase celebrating 25 years of the Peterborough Folk Festival's Emerging Artist program at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre.

This new winter showcase debuted last year and sold out. We're bringing it back to Market Hall, and expect tickets to move fast.

Past emerging artists VANCAMP and Jeanne Truax return to the stage alongside 2026 Peterborough Folk Festival Emerging Artist of the Year, Tristan Konkle, for an evening of live music from each of their bands.

Since being named, these artists have continued to solidify their place in Canada's music scene with exciting tour dates from coast to coast, strong releases, and collaborations with well-known Canadian artists.
