What a beautiful Dis-Orientation Community Meeting! 🌸

Thank you to everyone who joined OPIRG Peterborough for an evening of good food, thoughtful conversation, and community building.

We started with a shared meal and gathered outside in the sunshine, where we had deep discussions about this year’s Dis-Orientation, shared ideas for events, and reflected on activist and community needs through our post-it note activity.

Your ideas, questions, and energy are helping shape this year’s event, and we’re so grateful to everyone who showed up and contributed. 👥

Stay tuned Dis-Orientation updates coming soon!

Aanii, hello! My name is Madison Mäe Adsetts 🌼

I believe everything exists in relationships. I am drawn to systems — people, plants, animals, Land, and community. I love understanding systems and the ways our world speaks through connection, reciprocity, and energy. In many ways, I see myself as a translator: someone who listens for patterns, brings voice to what is often unseen, and finds meaning in the beautiful complexity of life.

You can often find me brewing kombucha, caring for my tarantulas, playing piano, writing, or spending time on the Land with the people I love. I believe in meeting the world halfway — with more laughter, more curiosity, more joy, and a deep appreciation for the good medicine that the natural world offers us every day.

As OPIRG Peterborough's Research Organizer, I carry these values into my work. I am passionate about connecting people, stories, and ideas, and helping create spaces rooted in reciprocity, collective care, and community learning. I believe research is, at its heart, about relationships: listening deeply, asking good questions, and imagining better worlds together.

Miigwech for being here.
