The Cadet Program is a vital investment in Canada's youth, helping foster civic responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. While cadets are not members of the Canadian Armed Forces and are not obligated to join, the program introduces youth to military traditions and serves as a highly effective pipeline for future Canadian Armed Forces recruits.
The Royal Canadian Legion is a foundational supporter of Cadets Canada, offering extensive financial and volunteer assistance to local cadet corps across the country. In return for this support, cadets frequently help local Legion branches by volunteering for the annual Poppy Campaign and participating in Remembrance Day ceremonies
