Don’t miss this epic fall hike in Lanark County this fall! 🍂😍🍁

Located only a 1hr drive from Almonte, Perth, Smiths Falls, and Carleton Place, the Blueberry Mountain Trail is a beautiful 5km in-and-back hiking trail taking you through mature maple forests on peaceful paths, to a panoramic lookout point with spectacular views overlooking the Ottawa Valley 🍁👀

The best time to visit is during peak fall colours in early October, so be sure to add this amazing outdoor hike to your fall bucket list! 🤗

What an amazing day of exploration, learning and creativity with Thrive Tours on a Paint and Paddle adventure on Lake Superior! 😍

🪶 An Indigenous-owned, award-winning eco-cultural company based in Sault Ste. Marie, Thrive Tours offers land and water-based activities helping you connect with the earth, while learning about Indigenous culture through stories, traditions, song, food, and art.

💦🛶 The Paint & Paddle adventure took us to the crystal-clear waters of Gros Cap on Lake Superior, with a stop on a beautiful secluded peninsula with epic views.

🥣🌽🔥 We enjoyed delicious Three Sisters soup, homemade Bannock, and cedar tea around a fire, and had some informative and fascinating discussions about Indigenous culture with plenty of time for questions in an open and inclusive space.

🎨 We then let our creativity and imagination loose with a painting session, led by owner Brad Robinson who is an accomplished artist in his own right, and learned some Indigenous songs with traditional drums and shakers in hand.

This is not the Caribbean. This is Ontario! 😍
Located in the middle of Lake Superior 🌊 the Slate Islands are a unique set of 15 islands formed by a meteor impact that predates the dinos 🦕
Home to the southermost herd of woodland caribou in North America, the highest lighthouse on the Great Lakes, and unique arctic plants 🌱 and rock formations🪨, the islands are truly spectacular.
I visited this magical place on an epic 6-day kayaking expedition with Naturally Superior Adventures, where we stayed at secluded waterside campsites 🏕️ paddled through peaceful aqua-blue waters, and navigated the moody and powerful waters of Lake Superior! 🌊

This was a one-of-a-kind experience I won’t soon forget 💙

Scottish pride was on full display this weekend at the Fergus Scottish Festival! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

From massed bands 🥁 and elegant Highland dancing, to the always entertaining heavy events 💪, it was an amazing weekend celebrating Scottish heritage and culture in Fergus 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
