In local news, check out the latest feather in the cap of Nelson End of Life Society ... who are posing here with the new sign indicating the location for Green Burials at the Nelson Cemetery which should be opening in 2027.

Last night, our Nelson Hospice volunteers had a chance to catch up with NELS volunteers to talk about what green burials might look like once this site opens.

A beautiful night of art, sharing and treats ... thanks for co-hosting our Death Cafe Nelson Museum, Archives & Gallery! Steeped in the intricate art of Robin Wiltse's Death Card Exhibition, and in the beautiful space of NMAG, many deep conversations and stories were shared about what it means to walk alongside death and grief.

So grateful for the support of Blue Sky Clothing ... who donated $3000 to Nelson Hospice last week. They had the wonderful idea to promote May's Hospice Palliative Care week by donating the Nelson Store's profits from that week. Blue Sky's affirmation of the good work done in our community by our compassionate volunteers makes this one even more meaningful! Kudos to Blue Sky .. and thank you!
