So grateful for the support of Blue Sky Clothing ... who donated $3000 to Nelson Hospice last week. They had the wonderful idea to promote May's Hospice Palliative Care week by donating the Nelson Store's profits from that week. Blue Sky's affirmation of the good work done in our community by our compassionate volunteers makes this one even more meaningful! Kudos to Blue Sky .. and thank you!

Using Family Constellations in the realm of grief ... what an amazing opportunity (though sadly not here in Nelson)!

For anyone who has a body, and who knows how grief gets stored in our tissues, this weekend workshop will work directly on that aspect of grief. This weekend ritual is rooted in the lineage of Systemic Family Constellations, and blends somatic wisdom, sound healing and collective wisdom.

Dr. Sarah Kerr, PhD - The Centre for Sacred Deathcare ... is an amazing resource for those of us who work in hospice with her pithy instructive videos and her in-person death care trainings. But the work that Sarah does in the context of family consellations is so unique and impactful on a direct personal level. Check it out!

Come to the Mother's Day Market on Baker Street and purchase your beautiful dahlia plant, lovingly raised by our two benefactors, Jim Derksen and Heather MacIntyre. These plants are near to blooming when purchased and will fill your garden with colour and joy all summer long!

For National Hospice Palliative Care Week (May 3-9), we want to recognize the compassion, dignity and support that Nelson & District Hospice Society brings to individuals and families in our community.

Hospice care is about more than just medical support, it's about ensuring no one walks their journey alone.
