Have some art to rent? Check out this opportunity at City of Nelson, British Columbia

Artists are invited to apply to the City of Nelson’s Art Rental Program, celebrating its 10th year in 2026 🎉

Selected artwork and heritage pieces are displayed in City facilities for a one-year rental period, with participating artists receiving a rental fee.

The Call for Artists is open until May 22, 2026. Submit images of your work along with medium, dimensions, value, and artist bio.

We are so delighted that our artist residency with The Narrows Art Retreat is back again this year. If you are a Nelson-based artist with a project or an idea that you want to develop in a serene setting close to home, read on!⬇️

The residency is open to artists residing in the Nelson region and consists of a one-week shared residency, with a food allowance, at The Narrows Art Retreat.

Please note that there are limited dates available for 2026, and some dates are for shared residencies rather than private ones.

🚤Boat travel will be provided to and from the retreat centre with one additional round trip for supplies and food if necessary.

Join Creative BC staff for an info session to learn about eligibility, application tips, and examples of successful projects, and get your questions answered live.

🎙 Demo Recording Program
- Supports new and emerging artists from systemically excluded groups in B.C.
- Apply with a local producer for $2,000 to cover 100% of recording costs for one to two songs.

This program is supported by the Province of BC’s Amplify BC fund.
