It's been a week since the 88.7 myFM All Hands On Deck Food Drive! Now that the dust has settled, we would like to take a moment to thank everyone involved to make it so successful.

Our shelves are looking wonderfully full especially for this time of year! A great big thank you to our local radio station 88.7 myFM for hosting the event; to the sponsors who support us; to Metro, Nofrills, Shoppers, and Walmart for allowing us to spend the day in front of their stores; to the Salvation Army for partnering with us; to the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to gathering donations and working behind the scenes; and to our wonderful community in Napanee who contributed to support their neighbours.

As of mid August this year, we've filled over 1,100 food bags for over 600 individuals and families in and around the Napanee area. This represents over 1,300 people including families with seniors and children who have faced food insecurity just this year. Every donation makes a difference so we cannot say thank you enough!

The myFM All Hands On Deck Food Drive is going on today until 6 p.m. Look for volunteers outside Napanee’s Metro, No Frills, Shopper’s Drug Mart and Walmart, accepting food items or cash donations for Morningstar Mission and The Salvation Army.
