The municipal election is coming up, and we want to know what you want to hear from the people running to represent Greater Napanee.

During the last municipal election, Greater Napanee Pride hosted an All Candidates Meeting. This year, we could do that again, send candidates a questionnaire and publish their responses, or potentially do both.

Before we decide, we’re asking our members and the wider community what they would find most useful.

What issues do you want candidates talking about? What would you ask every candidate for Mayor and Council? What would you like school board trustee candidates to address? And what do you wish the people running for office understood better about living in Greater Napanee?

Most of the survey is open-ended because we don’t want to tell you what the important issues are. We want to hear them from you.

Take the survey here: https://greaternapaneepride.com/election-survey

Your responses will help shape how Greater Napanee Pride engages in the 2026 election and the questions we put to candidates.

Look who has a sticker!!

We’re happy to welcome CanDo Information Technology to the Greater Napanee Pride Business Directory.

CanDo is one of those local businesses you might not realize does quite so much. Internet, home phone and TV services, computer and device repairs, onsite and remote support, and more, all based right here in our community.

And now you can add one more thing to the list: proudly letting 2SLGBTQIA+ customers know they’re welcome through their doors.

Thank you, CanDo, for choosing to be part of our directory and showing your support for our community.

How do you say goodbye to someone who became such an important part of Greater Napanee Pride in one short summer?

Our summer student Ayesha is officially finished with us, and we are going to miss her more than we can say.

Ayesha walked through the door ready to learn, and somehow managed to teach us a whole lot too. She brought ideas, curiosity, kindness and an incredible amount of care to everything she touched. She jumped into whatever needed doing, asked good questions, challenged us to think differently, and very quickly became someone we could count on.

She is smart. She is thoughtful. She is compassionate. She is ridiculously capable. And she cares deeply about people and about making the world around her a little better.

What I think we'll remember most is how much she genuinely cared about the work. Not just getting things done, but understanding why we were doing them, who they were for, and how we could do them better. That kind of care cannot be taught, and Ayesha has it in abundance.

We were better this summer because she was here.

She’s heading back to the University of Ottawa to continue studying Human Rights, and we already know she is going places. We feel incredibly lucky that Greater Napanee Pride got to be one little part of that journey.

Thank you for everything, Ayesha. Go do incredible things. We’ll be cheering you on the whole way.

And you better come back and visit.

When one of our biggest partners asks for something, of course we say yes!! Can't have a foam cannon stuck in a storage room all summer!

Look who has a sticker!!
We’re so happy to have the Lennox & Addington Chamber of Commerce as part of the Greater Napanee Pride Business Directory.

And while we’re talking about the Chamber, can we give a little love to the Market?

The L&A Market is such a great way to discover local makers, producers and small businesses, all while spending a little more of your money right here in our community.

Supporting local and creating a community where everyone feels welcome? We’re big fans of both.

Thanks to the Chamber for proudly showing that everyone is welcome here.
