Our chapter joined in on the Nurses’ week festivities and gave back to our members at our annual self-care event at the Sunningdale Golf&Country Club. Guests enjoyed a breakfast, keynote talk from Pauline at YourHealthSpace on self-care in the work environment, laughter yoga, guided meditation, art therapy, and lots of surprises! We thank all of our participants and to our guests leading these breakout sessions. Thank you to all who joined us! We look forward to seeing you at future events, stay tuned!

The Middlesex-Elgin Chapter would like to wish you a Happy National Nursing Week! For every RN, NP and nursing student, thank you. We appreciate all that you do to care for our communities and your work to helping build a healthier tomorrow.

1. Nominate a Nurse Award Campaign
Help us recognize outstanding RNs, NPs, and nursing students who are making making a difference in healthcare. Nominations due by May 17 at 11:59 pm.

2. Education Bursaries
Invest in your growth and apply for funding to help support your learning and professional development. Would you benefit from support for continuing education courses, specialty certifications, graduate or post‑graduate studies, or conferences/workshops/professional development fees? Apply now! Calling all students! Join us for our Pizza and Politics event. Pizza and politics is an introduction to advocacy and political action for nursing students.
This event is for nursing students who wish to learn more about how to influence policy through political action and advocacy.

A review of RNAO and the political action platform will be provided. There will be a panel discussion with nurses who have been involved in political action. Those present will have an opportunity to develop their own political action statements. Finally, there will be a networking opportunity over pizza supper.
