London Cycle Link

London Cycle Link We help Londoners ride more! Build confidence | Advocate for safe streets | Foster a thriving cycling culture 🚲🧡🔗 COMMUNITY: We’re better together.

London Cycle Link is a volunteer-driven charitable organization that advocates on behalf of all Londoners to make London a safe and healthy, cycle-friendly city. Our motto is "Ride more" and our vision is for London to choose cycling. Partnering with local businesses, community groups, fellow charity and non-profit organizations, and city hall, London Cycle Link campaigns for better bike lanes and

roads, promotes cycling safety to both motorists and cyclists, teaches cycling skills to kids through Ride to Thrive, facilitates do-it-together bicycle repair at Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op, and organizes events and projects for a thriving cycling culture. Our values:

EQUITY: We believe cycling should be a viable option for everyone. We welcome all people in our programs, events, and outreach, and we strive to ensure that everybody has access to a working bicycle. We seek to build a supportive, encouraging community of people on bikes, and a unified voice for safer streets and paths. EMPOWERMENT: We help people understand how things work—from the gears on a bicycle, to cycling laws, to City Hall—in order to enable individual and community advocacy, and to support transportation autonomy through cycling. SUSTAINABILITY: Our Earth is in crisis and we need urgent action to prevent climate catastrophe and prepare for a resilient future. Cycling can be a significant part of the solution. We strive to consider environmental and ecological justice in all our decisions. FUN & CELEBRATION: Whether it’s riding downhill, unexpectedly crossing paths with a friend (or a goose), or trying a new bike path for the first time, cycling often makes us smile. We try to infuse a spirit of fun, the unexpected, or the whimsical in what we do. To hear about news, events and issues related to cycling in London, subscribe to our newsletter, Chain Mail. As spring rolls in, it's time to wake up your wheels!

After a long winter, your bike might be feeling a little stiff, squeaky, or sluggish. A quick tune‑up now means:
✔️ smoother rides,
✔️ safer stops, and
✔️ a season full of easy cruising

Looking for the perfect place to get it done?

Squeaky Wheel Bike Co-op is an amazing community hub where you can repair your bike, learn a few skills, and get friendly support from people who love cycling as much as you do.

Tune it, clean it, ride it.

Spring is calling—answer on two wheels.

The pieces fell into place for last night’s London Cycle Link Annual General Meeting 🧩

Kudos to LCL Board Chair Brian S, our MC for the evening 🎤 who coordinated all presenters, slides, materials and equipment. He packed the agenda like a well-greased hub!

Thank you Innovation Works London for providing such a beautifully-decorated, functional meeting space (pic 2), including indoor bike parking (pic 3) 🚲

Some highlights:

- Laura W (pic 4) gave us the low-down on what Annette G and the rest of the Ride to Thrive program crew achieved over the spring and fall sessions of 2025—remember: new instructor training is coming up in April 🦺

- Vince L (pic 5) told us all about the Advocacy Committee’s strategic direction for 2026 📣 Get in touch to get involved!

- Our special guest Andrea Bidgood, the Guelph Bicycle Mayor (pics 6 & 7) delighted us with stories and strategies alike as she spreads the good word of active, equitable, day-to-day transportation from her home city and beyond. , we are so grateful that you travelled to to share this deeply personal, inspiring message ❤️

- After over three years of serving on the Board, we’re saying “Happy trails!” to Vice-Chair Laura G and Admin Andrew L (pic 8), as well as Mike W (not pictured). Alex B and Rick F, thank you also for your contributions this past year 🙏🏽

Curious for the full picture Ganesh painted in the minutes (pic 9)? How does the puzzle of LCL's year end (pic 10)? Stay tuned for 2026 AGM Part 2!

Winter Bike to Work Day is Friday Feb 13th to encourage biking to work as opposed to the common alternative of driving. As TREA promotes CAN-Bike courses to help cyclists gain confidence on the road, we see this long-running event as a great chance to celebrate and promote sustainable transportation during the winter. Let’s hope for good weather that day!
