Heads up! Overnight road closures will take place on York Street, Florence Street and at the Rectory Street intersection from Sunday, Aug. 23 through the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The closures are needed for road paving and new traffic lines as part of the York and Florence Street Arterial Road Rehabilitation Project.

Expect delays and follow posted detour signs. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use navigation apps to find the best route.

Businesses in the area will remain accessible.

On August 5th, we welcomed municipal leaders from across Southwestern Ontario to the Western Fair District for our annual Mayors’ Breakfast.

Together, we reflected on the Western Fair’s impact across our region, shared what’s ahead for the Fair, and explored opportunities to collaborate, connect and create even greater impact in the communities we serve.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a morning of meaningful conversations, regional connections and a shared vision for what’s next. 🌾

Big improvements coming soon! ✨
The Casino/Grove parking lot is getting a renewal, bringing improvements to both safety and appearance for everyone who visits, works and does business here.

There may be some minor disruptions while the work is underway, but we’re excited for the finished result! 🚧💚

What started as a simple sketch is becoming reality. ✏️➡️🏟️

Six years ago, this vision lived on paper. Today, it’s one step closer to becoming a state-of-the-art multi-sport and recreation centre that will serve our community for generations to come!

With City Council’s approval, our J-AAR Arena will be transformed into a modern recreation hub featuring:

Pickleball - 12 (red court markings)
Volleyball - Up to 6 Volleyball courts (Green Court Markings)
Basketball - 3 (Blue Court Markings)
Change rooms - 6

This project is about more than a building. It’s about creating a place where people connect, compete, stay active, and build community every single day.
