We are saddened by the passing of former Basketball BC Executive Director Lawrie Johns.

For 22 years, Lawrie helped shape the future of basketball in British Columbia, creating opportunities for young athletes through programs such as the U12 Metro League, Jr. Grizzlies, and Steve Nash Youth Basketball. His impact on our sport and community will be felt for generations.

“His legacy will continue to be felt throughout the basketball community for generations to come.”
— Stuart Graham, President, Basketball BC

Our thoughts are with Lawrie’s family and friends during this difficult time.
