Lorval Developments and Chris Dikeakos Architects have applied for a development permit to build a mixed residential, office, and commercial tower on the northwest corner of 80th Avenue and 200th Street.

The proposal calls for a 42-storey residential tower, with an 11-storey mid-rise office component, both to be built on a four-storey podium containing retail outlets and above-grade parking.

The Latimer Neighbourhood Plan for the area says that buildings at the corner of 200th Street and 80th Avenue should be “landmark buildings,” with a minimum height of three storeys, and a maximum of 12. It adds that the “exact height and density appropriate for these sites will be determined through the rezoning process.”

Along with a development permit, the builders are asking for a rezoning to allow the scope of the project.

The project is under review by Township of Langley staff, but has not yet come before the council.
