Marillac Place supports new mothers and mother to be experiencing homelessness in the Waterloo Region.

Mothers who come to Marillac Place receive 24 hour guidance and support, continue their education and are enabled with the life-skills they need to care for themselves and their child. Marillac Place can accommodate 10 mothers and 11 babies at one time.

A warm welcome can make all the difference. 💛

We’re collecting donations to create welcome baskets for the mothers and babies we support.

These baskets provide comfort, practical essentials, and a warm welcome during a significant chapter of life. Whether it's everyday necessities or thoughtful items that remind someone they're supported, every contribution makes a difference.

Pre-assembled baskets are especially appreciated, but individual items are just as valuable and help us complete baskets for incoming families. To receive a list of items we use in our welcome baskets, please reach out to: [email protected]

THANK YOU, BABY BOTTLE COMMUNITY! 🍼💜

What an incredible show of generosity!

This year, 23 churches and more than 600 donors came together through Marillac Place’s Baby Bottle Campaign- our biggest fundraiser of the year.

Every bottle filled and every gift given helps provide mothers and babies facing challenging circumstances with safety, support, encouragement, and hope.

But this campaign is about more than bottles. It’s about a community showing mothers and babies that they matter, they are cared for, and they’re not alone.

To every church, donor, and supporter: thank you for standing with Marillac Place. We are so grateful for your generosity and belief in brighter beginnings. 💜

Baby milestones can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming. Remember: milestones are helpful guidelines, not a competition. 🍼

During their first year, babies develop physical, social, emotional, and communication skills at their own pace. Focus on progress, provide plenty of opportunities for play and interaction, and talk with your healthcare provider if you have concerns.

At Marillac Place, we’re reminded every day that babies thrive when their families have the support, stability, and opportunities they need, too. Supporting mothers means helping create stronger beginnings for babies. 💛

Moving out of Marillac Place isn't the finish line, it's the next chapter.

Leaving our transitional shelter shouldn't mean leaving support behind.

For nearly three years, our AfterCare program has walked alongside families as they write their next chapter.

To date, 29 women and 30 children have participated in AfterCare. Each family’s needs are unique, from groceries and diapers when resources are tight, to a helping hand getting to an appointment, connections to programs and services, or advocacy when they need someone in their corner.

AfterCare is about meeting families where they are and supporting the goals they’ve set for themselves, because rewriting your story doesn't happen all at once.

We’re delighted to be one of three organizations supported by the Kitchener Conestoga Rotary Club Golf Tournament, alongside Food4Kids and Tumaini Children’s Foundation.

We’re grateful for the Rotary Club’s generosity and community spirit, and for choosing to invest in the meaningful work each organization does.
