Only A Few Spots Left!
This Saturday June 13th, 10am-12:30pm
Half-Day Meditation Retreat
A Fourfold Approach to Starting
A Daily Meditation Practice

During this retreat, we will explore what meditation is, why it matters, and what steps you can take to actually sit and meditate today, as well as how to begin a simple daily practice that leads to tangible progress.

Over 2,000 years ago, Buddha taught that meditation is a scientific method for increasing happiness. When we meditate, we access the natural reservoir of inner peace in our mind which is the source of authentic, lasting happiness.

With Buddhist teacher Bill Spurrell. Open to beginners and experienced meditators alike.

This Thursday June 11th, 7-8:15pm:
In-Person Meditation Class @ The Spire
The Inner Light of Wisdom: Buddha’s Four Noble Truths

Navigating life’s problems in these modern times is challenging, especially when we receive so many different kinds of advice. One perspective worth considering comes from Buddha Shakyamuni. His first teachings, known as "The Four Noble Truths," explain why we suffer and how we can find both temporary and lasting peace. All of his subsequent teachings can be understood within these four basic principles.

Weekly drop-in classes; no experience needed! With Buddhist nun and Resident Teacher Gen Chöyang.
