Queen's University Conservative Association Promoting conservative values at Queen’s through speakers, socials, and policy events.

We support conservative candidates, uphold accountability and free association, and connect students with Canada’s conservative movement on campus and beyond. The Queen’s University Conservative Association (QUCA) connects philosophically conservative students to each other and to opportunities within the conservative movement in Canada. QUCA pushes conservative values through discussion and debate, campaigns for candidates from conservative parties, and provides an outlet for our members’ professional development. QUCA is affiliated with the Ontario Young Progressive Conservatives (OYPC) which is the a wing of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party. QUCA sponsors speakers, assists the local conservative riding associations, and plays a key role in policy development within conservative parties. QUCA is also a social group for young conservative minded individuals to discuss ideas and build strong networks with each other.

Thank you to MPP Billy Denault for joining us for our first Pub Night this year!

As one of Ontario’s youngest MPPs, he spoke about entering public life, representing his community and making an impact in provincial politics at a young age. His story was a great reminder that young people, including students here at Queen’s, have an important role to play in shaping Canada’s future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! 🇨🇦

Last week, members of the QUCA executive were privileged to attend a meet and greet in Kemptville with Members of Parliament Michael Barrett and Scott Aitchison for a great discussion about the issues most salient to Leeds—Grenville and the broader housing challenges facing Canadians.

Thank you to MP Barrett and MP Aitchison for the thoughtful conversation and warm welcome.

Last night we had the pleasure of welcoming the Hon. Michael D. Chong, Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Wellington—Halton Hills North, for QUCA’s last event of the 2025–2026 school year.

MP Chong gave a powerful speech highlighting Mark Carney’s speech at Davos and the importance of maintaining the rules-based system that has been in effect since 1945, the wealth and prosperity it has created, and he cautioned against the realignment the Prime Minister has proposed.

The Member also emphasized Canada’s resilience and its role in helping shape that system. Looking ahead, he spoke about Canada’s potential to lead as a resource superpower, improve conditions domestically, and support our allies abroad.

We are incredibly grateful to have been joined by the Hon. Michael D. Chong and to have finished the school year on a high and optimistic note for the future.

This year, the club saw remarkable growth, with a record number of members, tabling on campus, a collaborative event with the Queen’s Liberal Club, a cross-campus event with conservative clubs from universities across Ontario, the opportunity to host multiple MPs as well as provincial ministers and representatives, and the continued strengthening of Queen’s conservative community.
