Sometimes I wish the results of my efforts would appear more quickly. I wish for an immediate return because I lack patience or faith. Over time, I learn to trust the drama of life to reveal the fruit of my sincere efforts. These moments are as precious as the sunrise, filling me with pure self-respect and gratitude for the certainty of a positive return. Today let me trust the universe.

There is always great confidence and comfort when you know the right person is in charge of a big project. There is a palpable sense of security that comes when a competent, capable, caring person is in charge. It inspires hope in everyone, knowing the project is in good hands. The best person is usually someone who has more than just the skills or technical capacity required, but also has a deep understanding and accurate vision for the project and the positive energy and commitment to gather cooperation and respect from all involved. They will also have the humility and perserverence to find a way through all obstacles. You just know they will make it happen in a beneficial way. Perhaps this is why souls call out to God, because we would all know that the future is in good hands. Today let me consider the role of the Divine in the massive project of world transformation.

When I see the best in another person it removes all conflict in our relationship. Most disharmony in relationships is caused by a negative vision we hold of the other person. Perhaps they have done wrong. They may have been acting beneath their highest and best because they are confused, influenced or eclipsed by their own negative patterns. In short, they forgot their best. When I keep my vision focused on each one's best and highest self, it helps them restore themselves to that level. Today let me support harmony in my relationships by seeing each one's best and highest self.

Every part of a tree serves a unique function. The seed holds the blueprint of the tree. The roots are most closely connected to the seed, drawing nutrients from the soil to feed the rest of the tree as it grows. The trunk holds the tree upright and each branch reaches outwards carrying nourishment to the leaves which draw energy from the sun through photosynthesis. This beautiful internal system of sustenance and cooperation is much like the human family tree with its many parts. The Spiritual Seed of the Divine holds the full view of humanity as it is, as it was and as it will become. The roots draw spiritual power from this Seed and send it upward to all branches of the tree ~ the religions that uphold humanity. This nourishment extends to every leaf of the more than 8 billion souls on the planet. Today let me stay close to the Spiritual Source and be a strong root for the tree of humanity.

Farmers know that they must plant seeds in the spring to reap a harvest in the fall. This is true for my life as well. The seeds of karma I plant now will produce a future harvest. Every thought, word and action is like a seed ~ of karma. The energy of my intention will produce an impact and result in a future return. If I want a happy life, I must plant the seeds of happiness now through my actions ~ giving happiness to myself and others. If I want a peaceful life, I must plant the seeds of peace now. A life filled with love requires me to plant the seeds of love in my actions now. Today let me consider what seeds I must plant now to get the harvest I wish for.
