📣📣📣Members in St. John’s made their voices heard loud and clear when they joined the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour for their rally against Bill C 39. The changes proposed to this bill would directly impact workers’ right to job action and would create the framework for government intervention to mandate a return which undermines workers’ leverage at the bargaining table.
If the Employer knows that a strike can be stopped at their request, it takes away our collective power and gives the employer zero incentive to negotiate fairly at the bargaining table.
