Fun, leadership, personal development, pride in one’s community, importance of family and service work….caring about the world around in which we live has been a long time credo for Kinette and Kinsmen Clubs of Cranbrook. With the start of the 2011/12 Kin year under way the clubs are pleased to announce their amalgamation as of September 1, 2011. The new Kin Club of Cranbrook is 20 members strong
and excited to continue to better the community in which they live and work. With 60 plus years of service work in the Cranbrook area and last year alone over $100,000 donated back into the community the members are pleased to continue the real legacy projects that are actively used and are staples of the community. Public Free Skate, Skates for Kids lending program, tennis courts and spray parks are just to name a few of these programs that the club is anxious to expand upon. The Kin Club of Cranbrook will carry on the legacy of Hal Rogers, the founder of Kin Canada in 1920, by serving their community’s greatest need.
