ANKORS is seeking casual staff for our Overnight Emergency Winter Shelter and for our Drop In Space!
Shift times for the Overnight Shelter run from 8pm to 2am / 8pm to 12am / 2am to 8am during extreme weather (at or below -10) and for the Drop In Space 4pm to 8pm during extreme weather.

Wage is 29$/hr

Interior Heath has issued a DRUG ALERT for Cranbrook and surrounding area. DOWN containing high amounts of medetomidine and fentanyl.

There is a high risk of overdose and fatal overdose, dizziness and confusion, nausea, amnesia, sleepiness and nodding out for a long time. Multiple overdoses have been reported.

Medetomidine is a very strong non-opioid tranquilizer—much stronger than xylazine (200x).

It slows down breathing and heart rate and can make overdoses more complicated and longer. Medetomidine is potentially dangerous to the heart.

The combination of fentanyl and medetomidine increases risk of overdose and can lead to significant sedation. Overdose symptoms may last beyond administration of naloxone.
