Behind every stitch is a story.

The Cranbrook Centennial Quilt was created by the Cranbrook Quilters Guild Heritage Committee, with the help of more than 30 local quilters who collectively volunteered over 2,600 hours to complete it. Their passion and craftsmanship transformed Cranbrook's history into a one-of-a-kind piece of art that we're proud to display at the Cranbrook History Centre.

Do you have a quilt on the go or do you switch gears for the summer? Please feel free to post an "in process" picture below. I used my husbands laser cutter to cut these circles from fused cotton. My project has appliqued borders and called for about 40 one inch circles. I had seen applique quilt kits in the shops that had laser cut pieces so I decided to give it a try.
