Thanks to our fellow CFDC colleagues at Trenval Business Development Corporation for inviting us to join their Annual General Meeting yesterday in Belleville, which included an exciting keynote from Meagan Vestby, CEO of Aluminum 3104. Great things ahead for the region. Earlier this week we were on site in Lindsay with Launch Kawartha for a series of FedDev Ontario strategic innovation funding announcements. Let's continue to build on the investment and business momentum here in eastern Ontario.

Nventure is proud to have founded StrikeUP Canada with the goal of making entrepreneurship support more accessible to women across the country.

Now, StrikeUP is entering its next chapter, evolving from an annual national event into a free, year-round digital event and resource hub for women entrepreneurs at every stage of business.

Through the Signature Series, Connects Series, Business Vault and DELIA Loan Fund, StrikeUP will offer more opportunities to learn, connect, access practical resources and explore funding support throughout the year.

Nventure was pleased to participate in yesterday's Inspired in Hope event, hosted by the Municipality of Port Hope, Ontario.

Representing Nventure, Kim Botrie connected with entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners and community partners to share information about the Community Futures Program, including the funding and strategic support available to local businesses, as well as the DELIA Women Entrepreneurship Loan Fund for women-owned businesses across Canada.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, build connections and highlight the resources available to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.

Thank you to Port Hope and all participating partners for bringing the local business community together.

By giving prospective employees a realistic look at the pace, environment and expectations of the factory floor, Vfactory can help manufacturers improve job fit, recruitment and retention.

Rugged Textiles has officially received the Policetech Tested™ Badge following the successful completion of an eight-month V13 Policetech Accelerator pilot with the Cobourg Police Service and Port Hope Police Service.

Through the pilot, officers were able to use the Balteus Max tactical belt system during regular operational duties and share feedback based on their day-to-day experience in the field. Their response pointed to a product that not only held up over time but also helped improve comfort and weight distribution throughout a shift.

Congratulations to Rugged Textiles on this achievement and thank you to the participating officers for their time, feedback and commitment throughout the pilot.

Nventure was pleased to attend the Northumberland Manufacturers' Association (NMA) Industry Tradeshow and connect with local producers, industry partners and workforce leadership.

We had the opportunity to share Vfactory, the innovative virtual reality (VR) workforce readiness platform developed by Nventure in collaboration with the NMA.
