A huge thank you to everyone who gathered their old or broken electronics and batteries for proper disposal and recycling! 🙌

Every device kept out of the landfill is a win for our Communities and our environment. 💚

MCPEI’s Solid Waste Program reflects our ongoing commitment to implementing reduce, reuse, and recycle strategies within First Nations Communities, with a focus on minimizing our environmental impact for generations to come. 🌿

June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day 🧡

🪶This is a day to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and the important contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

🌞2026 Marks the 30th anniversary of this important National day, which is observed annually on the summer solstice. For many Indigenous Peoples, the solstice carries deep spiritual and cultural meaning as a time of renewal, connection, and celebration.

Gloomy weather couldn't dampen the energy of this vibrant celebration of Mi’kmaq culture! 🧡
